The Ford has launched plans of redesigning the Ford Galaxy car which looks more like S-Max model. The car is being updated for the 2017 model year and will be representing the fourth generation of Ford Galaxy. It made its first debut in the auto market back in 2006. The upcoming 2017 Ford Galaxy boasts of an elegant CD4 system and shares much of its structural attributes with Ford Mondeo and Fusion models. The vehicle will receive impressive updates both outside and inside. You should also expect better upgrades on the powertrain performance.
2017 Ford Galaxy – Design and Features:
The exterior platform features new dimensions. The car is larger than its predecessor with a length of 187.8 inches, 74.2 inches wide and a height of 65.4 inches. The windscreen also appears larger and the nose is quite lower than the previous model. At the front, the 2017 Ford Galaxy comes with redesigned trapezoidal stripe grille which features laid back flanked styling. The front bumper will also be revised and fitted with larger air vents. At the lower end of the bumper, there nicely shaped fog lights. The consumers should expect upgraded LED headlights for enhanced visibility. At the rear end, the MPV appear sportier with redesigned taillights like those of Ford Mondeo. The Ford Galaxy 2017 will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels.
There are few changes that will be adopted by the new Galaxy model. However, the spacious interior cabin is capable of sitting up to 7 adult persons, thanks to its larger headroom and legroom. The 2017 Ford Galaxy will adopt a three-row seating framework and the seats will feature high-quality leather upholstery. The driver’s seat, as well as the steering wheel, are also adjustable. The base engine unit that will power the 2017 Ford Galaxy is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine TDCI diesel engine which is rated to produce 150 horsepower. Consumers will also have a chance of choosing two petrol engines. These includes 1.5-liter 4-cylinder Ecoboost engine which is rated to deliver up to 160 horsepower. The second optional gasoline powertrain is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder which is good for 240 horsepower. All the three engine units will be paired to 6-speed dual clutch transmission routed to a standard front-wheel drive (FWD) though AWD will be offered optionally.
2017 Ford Galaxy – Debut Time and Price:
The Ford is yet to announce the official release date and pricing for the upcoming 2017 Galaxy car model. The consumers are anticipating that it will hit the market by the mid of 2016. The base MSRP is estimated at $25,000 while higher models will go for up to $35,000.
